Terese Farmen. Instructor
Terese Farmen, Instructor

Terese Farmen will almost always be caught humming a tune or shuffling her feet around in some configuration while waiting for elevators or standing in lines. She has been teaching Lindy Hop, Balboa and Blues in various venues of San Diego for the last few years, working hard to inspire new dancers to move out of their comfort zone and into the “shake your body zone”. She is exceedingly cheerful and super friendly and loves when a student realizes they are “doing the dance!” She has performed and led various Swing Dance, Cabaret and Balboa teams throughout the years since she caught the jitterbug in 2009. She is occasionally seen competing, but her true passion is dancing on the social dance floor just for fun. Terese loves to help students learn how to build their confidence, find the beat and make the most magical connections with other dancers as possible. She is a complete and total, irrevocable dance geek.

Janet Anna, Instructor

I started dancing in 2011, originally drawn in by the Blues. I quickly fell in love with Lindy Hop and Balboa, too, and have been a fiend for Swing and Blues ever since. I’ve travelled nationally and internationally for dance and feel blessed to have learned from some of the best instructors in modern Swing and Blues. I relish in the partnered connection of these dances and the unique possibilities that exist only within that connection. I love sharing that with students and watching their eyes light up as they develop their own connection and begin to see the possibilities, too.
